Extraction system for edge strip incl. two press plants

Application: nonwoven fabric, film, packaging.

The task was to design a extraction and waste disposal system for four flexographic printing machinery.

The edge strip can be supplied to the detecting elements by automatic trim gripper and supplied by the pipe system to the press plant. For two machines, which are about 110 meters from the press plant, additional shoring were installed for material transport. Furthermore exit traps has been installed with which the material is diverted in a case of emergency.

The piping system for the printing press is equipped with pneumatic diverters, to switch between the two press plant systems. The press systems are designed for the utilization of four machines. Above the presses a material separator is installed.

To enable the separator to a pressure-free state, the dust-laden air is sucked from the material separators by two exhaust fans.

The cleaned air passes through a filter back into the operating room. The dust and lint are conveyed by an auger and a feeder without pressure out oft he filter system. A water injection unit is installed to bring out the static electricity from the material taken the static charge from the extracted edge strip. To the static charge of the the two press plants are fully automatic in functioning. They are each controlled by a sensor barrier. Before each press plant a cache for two 30 m3 container is installed. If the containers are completely filled, the system automatically closes the container and the press. The container is unlocked and moves tot he side, afterwards the empty container moves to the press plant. In this period, the exchange material obtained is collected in the cache.

The entire system is linked with an existing CO2 extinguishing system so that in case of fire the extraction system is shut down and no gases are extracted.

At six points of this manufacturing plant the edge strip are made of PP and PE and fed to a regeneration system. By diverters the edge strip are passed to a baler.

Three injector air blower are installed in a soundproof cabin on the ground. The injector molded parts are included under the ceiling into the piping system.

Specially developed grippers pull the edge strip in the gathering unit and the material is fed to the selected disposal station.

Extraction system for edge strip and panel

At a coating machine dust and fibers are extracted from the film panel. After coating with a sticky substance the edge strip are extracted on both sides.

For the extraction of the film panel a special gathering unit was manufactured. This ensures that the dust and fibers are reliably detected. The removed material is extracted into a compact filter and collected there.

The edge strip are captured on both sides and transferred by a injector air blower to a material separator which is installed above a small press.

The material is separated and dust-laden air is extracted to the material separator. The air enters the filter and the edge strip are falling without pressure into the press.
